Named after the carotid artery — one of the body’s main vessels carrying blood to the brain — Carótida evokes circulation, pressure and vulnerability. Its rounded volume and opening suggest a contained flow, as if the form were swollen from constant movement beneath the surface.
Developed through digital fabrication and manual intervention, the piece combines translucent reds and dense dark textures that recall organic matter, circulation and bodily tension held in suspension.
